This one day conference will offer the opportunity to gain accessible, up to date information on the latest developments in:

Hearing aids, Cochlear implants, Electro-acoustic hearing aids, Bone-anchored hearing aids, FM systems and their use in school and the workplace, Soundfield systems, Middle Ear Implants and Communication support systems.

The presentations will be set in the user and family perspective, exploring the use of the modern technologies in promoting effective communication in everyday life.

The day will be chaired in the morning by Sue Archbold, Chief Executive, The Ear Foundation and in the afternoon by Susan Daniels OBE, Chief Executive, NDCS and Chair of UK Council on Deafness.

Keynote Speakers:

• Professor Adrian Davis MSc PhD FFPH FSS FRSA OBE, Director of the NHS Newborn Hearing Screening Programme, Professor of Hearing Communication and Deafness at the University of Manchester and Director of the Medical Research Council’s Hearing and Communications Group.
• Professor Bencie Woll BA MA PhD, Chair of Sign Language and Deaf Studies; and Director, Deafness Cognition and Language Research Centre.
